Alexandr Hobza

Alexandr Hobza is an Economist in the Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs at the European Commission. Before joining the European Commission, he was a Research Fellow at the Centre for European Policy Studies in Brussels. He holds a PhD from the University of Economics in Prague and a Master’s degree in quantitative economics from Université libre de Bruxelles. His research focuses on macroeconomic imbalances, international financial flows, the impact and political economy of structural reforms, and the coordination of economic policies within the EU.
