According to Dana Pousty, safe water can be accessible anywhere around the globe by using the sustainable UV-LED lab patented device which uses multispectral wavelengths to achieve maximum disinfection with minimum costs and energy consumption.
Dana Pousty is a Ph.D. candidate in environmental engineering, Water Tech Lab, Tel Aviv University, led by Prof. Hadas Mamane. She completed her B.Sc. in Environmental Science and an MSc in environmental engineering. Her doctoral studies have focused on UV-LEDs as a disinfection source for water and surfaces. This includes calculation of the fluence in UV-LED disinfection systems and their optimization, researching the effect of wavelength and Intensity on microorganisms. In addition, Dana is a member and leader of several task forces in the International Ultraviolet Association.
