Maja Kokot completed her master’s degree at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Pharmacy, in 2019. She is currently a PhD student of the interdisciplinary doctoral programme in Biomedicine at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Pharmacy. She is working as a young researcher at Theory Department at National Institute of Chemistry in Ljubljana. Her research topic is the design and development of novel bacterial topoisomerase II inhibitors (NBTIs) as a new class of antibacterial agents. Her field of experience covers computational drug design, organic synthesis and biological evaluation.
