Falling Walls Breakthrough Conversation with Günther Hasinger
Günther Hasinger
Günther Hasinger is the Director of Science of the European Space Agency. He is one of the leading experts in astrophysical deep X-ray surveys and multi wavelength follow-up studies. Together with his teams he resolved the X-ray background into predominantly AGN and studied their Cosmic evolution. Now he is focusing in the formation of the earliest black holes and the question, whether primordial black holes can make up the dark matter. He has received several prizes, among others the Leibniz Prize 2005, the Cospar Award 2010 and the Röntgen Medal 2021.
