Our lean ecosystem generation model, emphasises maximising the number of innovation ideas explored and researchers commercially upskilled while minimising costs to support this activity across a city or economic region. We believe that by raising the level commercial awareness and connecting generations of researchers to existing local innovation activity, this promotes increased spinout rates from academic institutions and strengthens the innovation sector. We build intergenerational connection between researchers and innovators, this expedites the sharing of common knowledge and connection across an ecosystem and raises the visibility of available support structures. We build this intergenerational connection by upskilling researchers by placing them on projects to support the entrepreneurial activity of first time entrepreneurs. This provides first hand experience of the startup process to the researcher, while turning the 1-2 person venture into a team of 8-10 to expedite the startup journey.
