It is for inspiring, for creating awareness, for sharing experiences, for communicating, for connecting, for reflecting, creating collaborations, creating a more human way to teach that respect the authenticity of each human being and their beauty. Wisaarkhu aims to connect people and influence them to give back with their talents to the world in a positive way, through mathematics.

Sophie Marques is a researcher and lecturer at Stellenbosch University, in Mathematics. She is a firm believer that education opens doors and creates a better future. Sophie tries to explore the many ways mathematics can be shared in a more meaningful way and build more humanistic mathematics. Through mathematics, she wishes to use all the lenses available to understand how to make the university be a place of growth or students cultivating amazing human beings that also remember to give back to their communities. Thus, Sophie founded and is the managing director of Wisaarkhu.
