The nominating institution Yale School of Management on the project:

Global Virtual Teams (GVT) is a proven innovation with intensity, scale and scope. The course introduces students to research on what makes global teams succeed or fail and help them develop the skills to work on projects with teams spread across regions and countries. Last year 11 schools and over 700 students in more than 100 teams developed cutting-edge team skills. Since its development, GVT has become a yet more valuable program. Our objective is to help develop “outliers” – individuals who are the best at managing teams across times zones and cultures.
