The YES! – Young Economic Summit is an annual pupils’ competition on current challenges from economics and society under the patronage of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. In the YES!, school teams of grades 10 to 12 work together with researchers from renowned economic institutes and universities. The researchers provide the pupils with topics related to their research. They support them in scientific analyses and mentor them in the development of their own solutions.

WZB Berlin Social Science Center

After having been a university lecturer and having obtained a PhD in political sciences, Christine Normann switched to the field of research management. She has worked in universities, funding organisations and research institutes on issues like strategic research planning, science policy and international cooperation. One field of her interest is knowledge transfer and she loves to see innovative cooperations arise by bringing together people from different backgrounds, e.g. in the YES! – Young Economic Summit.
