Michael Stark is 21 years old and is studying BSc Biochemistry and Human Physiology at the University of Pretoria (Tuks). He is fascinated by research in the fields of synthetic biology, nanotechnology, and oncology. He is currently the only undergraduate cancer researcher at Tuks, working on two research projects he created at 19. He is the student chairperson of a prestigious initiative at Tuks which empowers young researchers. Michael is the CEO and founder of IMMUNOFEED, a synthetic biology company striving to prevent the rise of zoonotic viruses with pandemic potential.
