Carlos Abad is addressing the challenge faced by people with reduced mobility by developing a Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) technology that utilises bioelectrical signals from the brain to control electromechanical actuator elements. The project successfully implemented BCI sensors to control a wheelchair, with predetermined thoughts and a mobile application assisting in directing the movement, demonstrating promising results in improving the quality of life for individuals with mobility impairments.
