Hundreds of thousands worldwide suffer from retinal degenerative diseases that result in vision loss. Hevonkorpi’s newly developed NR600 implant activates damaged retinal cells to restore vision with a minimally invasive, high-performance device.

Ville Hevonkorpi is managing director at SCHOTT Primoceler Oy. He studied microsystems technology at Tampere University of Technology. After his studies, Hevonkorpi focused on hermetic packaging for opto-electronics and for medical implant devices. Currently, he and his team speak frequently at international microelectronics and medical implant packaging conferences.
