Yoko Sen is an ambient electronic musician who spent time in hospitals as a patient, horrified by their noise – the cacophony of beeps. Since then, she has embarked on a mission to transform the sound environment in hospitals, collaborating with medical institutions and device manufacturers to humanize the future of hospital soundscapes via participatory design.

Yoko Sen is an electronic musician, producer, engineer, vocalist and sound designer. She was born and raised in Japan, and she lives in Washington DC. Yoko has produced two award-winning albums and performed internationally. Yoko is founder of Sen Sound, a social enterprise to reimagine the sound environment in hospitals.
