CODE’s learning concept fundamentally changes the way we think about higher education. It empowers its students to learn everything they need in order to be successful in a world dominated by volatility, uncertainty, complexity, ambiguity, and technology. With its educational concept based on self-directed, project-based, and curiosity-driven learning, CODE enables its students to actively co-create and shape the world of tomorrow. Students take responsibility for their learning experience and develop the pioneer’s mindset consisting of seven key elements: genuine curiosity, learning competence, empathy, entrepreneurial spirit, creative problem discovering and solving, digital literacy, and critical judgement.

CODE University of Applied Sciences

Manuel studied economics, philosophy and cultural studies. As a student, he joined the executive board of StudierendenGesellschaft, a non-profit organization offering an income-based tuition model that promotes equal opportunities in education. In 2012 he joined Klett Group, one of Europe’s leading education-dedicated enterprises, where he became co-founder and managing director of a private university of applied sciences. Today he is co-founder and president of CODE, a university of applied sciences with an innovative learning concept based on curiosity and entrepreneurship.
