Schmitt advances cardiac care by curing something that has long existed, but was never solved with a flawless solution. Children especially have to deal with life-threatening treatments that simply treated, but not cure their disease. The development of GrOwnValve technology will jolt cardiac medicine forwards, and possibly engender a solution for everyone.
