I plead for a design turn within the social sciences, in order to foster the renewal of empirical methods from an analytical towards a co-productive synthetic approach of knowledge production.

Dr Séverine Marguin is a sociologist and head of the methods lab in the Collaborative Research Center SFB 1265 ‘Re-Figuration of Spaces’ at the Technical University of Berlin. She carried out research at the Cluster of Excellence ‘Image Knowledge Design. An Interdisciplinary Laboratory’ at the Humboldt University of Berlin and obtained a doctorate in the sociology of work and art at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg and at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales Paris.
