nQuire is an online citizen science engagement platform (nquire.org.uk) that supports members of the public to initiate, run and manage their own scientific investigations. It is unique in combining citizen science with community education and decision-making at big scale. Any individual or community group can add their voice by defining and answering questions of benefit to themselves and their communities in a scientifically robust manner.

Christothea Herodotou is an Associate Professor at the Open University UK, with expertise in the evidence-based design and evaluation of technologies for learning using mixed-methods research approaches. She hold funding from the National Science Foundation, Wellcome, and ESRC to improve the design of online citizen science platforms and make science learning more accessible and productive to youth. Prof. Herodotou is the academic lead of nQuire, a citizen science platform developed in partnership with the BBC.
