Breaking the Wall of Broken Barriers
Anissa Zouzaf is a PhD student at the Mucosal Immunology Lab at KU Leuven. She began her journey in immunology at 17 when she wrote a high school thesis on novel immunotherapies for inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). Now, she researches the role that macrophages play in diseases like psoriasis and IBD, hoping to contribute valuable insights to the field.
