The mission of OzGrav is to capitalise on the historic first detections of gravitational waves to understand the extreme physics of black holes and warped spacetime, and to inspire the next generation of Australian scientists and engineers through this new window on the Universe. The Centre brings together the Australian pulsar and gravitational-wave communities in a focused national program.

Jackie Bondell is Education and Outreach Coordinator for the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Gravitational Wave Discovery. She develops engaging and technologically innovative content for public outreach events and designs science lessons that incorporate virtual reality into student-centred activities while aligning with curriculum standards. With a passion for promoting STEM to underrepresented populations, she aspires to reach more girls as well as those in rural areas.
