We are not actually “us” because human cells are outnumbered by microbes in our body. Growing evidence indicates that gut microbiome plays a central role in health and disease. With rapid expansion of global microbiome investment, GenieBiome sees a largely unexplored opportunity in the Asia market. Being founded by two renowned clinician-scientists in this field in 2019, GenieBiome has rapidly positioned itself to be a pioneer in the development of microbiome-based diagnostics and therapeutics in Asia. Capitalizing on our unique biobank and rapidly expanding metagenome datasets, we have developed a non-invasive disruptive technology for detecting colon adenoma – a precursor of colon cancer. With this novel diagnostic stool test, regular screening colonoscopy will no longer be necessary. Our mission is to detect cancer early when it can be cured, thus providing the promise of preventive medicine to the society.
