COMPREDICT offers an artifical intelligence-driven solution to predict failures of automotive components in series-production vehicles and optimise the development process in the automotive industry. Whereas other monitoring technologies require additional sensors or other hardware, COMPREDICT has developed a purely software-based solution. Analysing and enhancing the data which is available in every series-production vehicle, the software is able to precisely predict failures of mechanical components like shafts, gearwheels, chassis parts, or bearings and of electronic components.  As a result, the data collected allows car manufacturers and suppliers to build more reliable cars while also speeding up the development process. It enables, for example, lightweight design, which helps to save energy and materials. Furthermore, the software runs a component health status which provides essential safety information for autonomously driving vehicles. Combining their comprehensive expertise in both data science and automotive engineering in order to provide their customers with additional insights, the company has found a niche and is already working with several international automotive manufacturers and suppliers.
