The Falling Walls Science Breakthroughs of the Year are highlighting breakthrough thinking from around the world.
In order to share knowledge and innovation Falling Walls provides a platform for academic institutions worldwide. In 2020, more scientists presented their breakthroughs than the conference has had audience attendance in the past.
Leading research institutions around the world were asked to submit their scientific breakthroughs in ten different categories ranging from life sciences to science in the arts. From 940 nominations from 111 countries, 650 finalists present their ground-breaking research in a short video. As a result, we are proud to present our growing library of breakthroughs from scientists who are striving to answer one key question: Which are the next walls to fall in science and society?
