This project investigates clashing territorial views in the Pan-Amazon region in the South West of Colombia and offers new aesthetic tools via Media, capable of opening new avenues for knowledge exchange, dialogue and inter-existence. Through participatory research and socially engaged art, this project explores the potential of an ethics of reciprocity and territorial bilingualism in order to safe guard vital environments and the lives of those risking a lot to protect the planet.

Basel Academy of Arts / FHNW

Felipe Castelblanco is a multidisciplinary artist working at the intersection of socially engaged and Media art. His work explores new frontiers of public space that enable coexistent encounters between unlikely audiences. Felipe is a junior researcher at the Art and Design Academy in Basel HGK – FHNW and has exhibited his work at museums and galleries in Europe, the U.S and South America. He is the recipient of several awards including the Starr Fellowship at the Royal Academy Schools in London (UK) and has served as a Cultural Emissary for the U.S State Department to the Philippines (2015).
