The rising amount and consumption of online videos not only led to short attention spans of the audience but makes it even harder to distinguish between fake and non-fake news. Snipedy allows users to cut out highlights from existing videos and share them like a quote with a backlink to its original version. This makes it a new communication tool that breaks the walls of misleading communication by putting clips into their original context, e.g. a COV-19 update, the latest WHO statement, etc.

Clemens Sagmeister studied media informatics at the Vienna University of Technology specializing in User Experience Design (UXD) as part of his master’s program at the Institute for Design & Assessment of Technology. It is this core area to which he has devoted his daily work since 2011: as an independent UX engineer with solid programming knowledge he supports international companies in the realization of innovative projects. Clemens is a graduate of the TU Wien i2c Extended Study On Innovation (2019) and participant of the TUW I2ncubator Program under the direction of Birgit Hofreiter.
