Vascular disease in children refers to a variety of illnesses that affect blood vessels in the body. Assessment of severity and risk is often done by MRI, or with catheters with contrast injection. This is invasive, costly, and limited by the imaging time window. REACT (relaxation-enhanced angiography without contrast or triggering) enables us to overcome the signal and contrast bottleneck. The breakthrough helps to achieve robust high-resolution imaging of both vascular lumen and the vessel wall.
