Environmental DNA is a non-invasive way to sample organisms. It’s revolutionizing biodiversity monitoring in the Canadian Arctic. The Stetefeld lab, in partnership with the Kivalliq Inuit Association, extracts eDNA from environmental samples without having to isolate the target organisms.
