Berlin, 30 October 2013. Though they come from São Paulo, Moscow, Los Angeles, London and many other parts of this world they have one thing in common: They all deal with the challenges society faces today and work on solutions to overcome them. Altogether 100 young bright minds from 36 nations were selected to travel to Berlin to showcase their ideas at the Falling Walls Lab on 8 November 2013. At the Lab, aspiring scientists, young professionals and entrepreneurs of diverse disciplines present their research work, business models or initiatives in 3 minutes each.

A renowned jury including amongst others, top representatives of Siemens, the Helmholtz Association, TUI, Volkswagen and Sanofi-Aventis reward the most innovative and intriguing ideas. The jury will be chaired by Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Marquardt, Chairman of the German Council of Science and Humanities and co-chaired by Dr. Martin Sonnenschein, Partner and Managing Director Central Europe of A.T. Kearney (List of complete jury: www.falling-walls.com/lab/programme).

The winners of the Falling Walls Lab Finale receive a cash prize, an annual subscription for the magazine Science and present their talks once more on the grand stage of the Falling Walls Conference on 9 November 2013 in front of 700 international guests.
