Melanie is Professor for Transdisciplinary Sustainability Research in Electronics at Technische Universität Berlin and Fraunhofer IZM. She studied Sociology and Psychology in Germany and Sweden. Since almost 20 years she works for various institutions and universities in the field of sustainability research and policy. Her research is located at the intersections of social and technological innovation, and sustainable consumption and production. She engages in citizen science, transdisciplinary and interdisciplinary research and teaching, and transformation oriented social sciences.
