Muriel Helbig
DAAD
Dr. Muriel Helbig was born in 1975 in Washington, DC. She studied psychology at the University of Potsdam. She completed her doctorate in 2006 in an international DFG graduate program at the Friedrich-Schiller-University in Jena. Her career path involved working as an advisor for graduate funding (University of Jena) and Head of International Relations (Bauhaus University Weimar). Since 2014 she is President of Technische Hochschule Lübeck (University of Applied Sciences). Dr. Helbig is Vice President of the DAAD since 2020 and, among other things, a member of the Speakers’ Group of Universities / Universities of Applied Sciences of the German Rectors’ Conference, a member of the Board of the Hochschulallianz für den Mittelstand (University Alliance for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses), a member of the University Council of the University of Emden/Leer and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Universität zu Lübeck.
