Driven by curiosity and continuous growth, Dr. Ezgi Kayhan Wagner has curated experiences both in science and outside of academia. She embarked on a scientific career as a Marie-Skłodowska-Curie Actions Fellow funded by the European Commission, which provided her with an excellent foundation to work in world famous research institutions, such as the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behavior in the Netherlands and the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences in Germany. Embracing new ways of doing science, her research merges different disciplines such as developmental psychology, cognitive neuroscience and robotics. Dr. Wagner continues her research at the University of Potsdam funded through a ‘Temporary Positions for Principal Investigators’ grant with which she and her team investigate brain-body interactions in early development.
I want to understand and to advance the development of children. I want this because addressing early development is key to achieving maximum social change impact. I can do this because I have a strong background in developmental research and a social entrepreneurial perspective.
