Dr. Jean-François SOUSSANA, senior scientist, vice-President in charge of international affairs at INRAE (France). Member of the Working Group II of IPCC and Lead Author for the 3rd, 4th and 5th Assessment Reports, sharing with all IPCC authors the Nobel Prize for Peace in 2007. He co-chairs the Integrative Research Group of the Global Research Alliance on agricultural greenhouse gases and the Steering Council of AgMIP, an international modeling program on climate change impacts on agriculture. He is also a member of the Scientific and Technical Committee of the Lima-Paris initiative “4 per 1000. Soils for Food Security and Climate”.

Colorado State University
Professor in the Department of Soil and Crop Sciences and Senior Research Scientist at the Natural Resource Ecology Laboratory at Colorado State University. A major focus of his work involves modelling, field measurement and development of assessment tools for soil carbon sequestration and greenhouse gas emissions from soils. Developed a web-based tool (COMET-Farm) for estimating on-farm greenhouse gas emissions and carbon sequestration used by USDA and project-scale systems for GHG assessment of sustainable land management projects in developing countries. Served as a member of the US Carbon Cycle Science Steering Group.
Eric CESCHIA’s work areas include plant ecophysiology, agronomy, bioclimatology, remote sensing, mapping and spatialized modelling of the functioning of agro-ecosystems by assimilation of satellite data at high spatial and temporal resolutions. He notably developed the SAFY-CO2 model to simulate the development of crops and intermediate covers as well as the RFCC model.

André Loesekrug-Pietri, held leadership positions in private equity, government, industry and as an entrepreneur. Starting as assistant to the CEO of Aerospatiale-Airbus, he then spent 15 years in private equity and venture capital. In 2017, he became Special Advisor to the French Minister of Defence, responsible in particular for technology and innovation. He is the Director of the Joint European Disruptive Initiative (JEDI), the European Darpa. Graduate from HEC and from Harvard Kennedy School, he attended Sup-Aero aerospace engineering school. Nominated Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, he is a private pilot and Colonel with the French Air Force People’s Reserve @andrepietri and @eurojedi
