Designresearch x Science: Wie gestaltet man interdisziplinäre und fakten-basierte Zukunftsbilder für öffentliche Debatten?

Das Symposium findet im Rahmen des »Food Fiction« Projektes statt, das vom BMBF im Rahmen vom »Wissenschaftsjahr Bioökonomie 2020« gefördert wird. Mit dem Projekt »Food Fictions« geht das Center for Responsible Research and Innovation (CeRRI) des Fraunhofer-Instituts für Arbeitswirtschaft und Organisation IAO der Frage nach, wie nachhaltige Lebensmittelsysteme und Esskulturen von morgen gestaltet werden können und zeigt spekulative Entwicklungen einer nahen Zukunft auf.

Forschungsziel des Projekts ist es, designbasierte Methoden für partizipative Wissenschaftskommunikation im Bereich Lebensmittelinnovationen zu erproben. Die Zukunftsszenarien beruhen auf wissenschaftlicher Grundlage: Forschende aus vielfältigen Disziplinen rund um Ernährung fungierten als Patinnen und Paten für die Szenarien. Ihre Forschungsthemen und Ergebnisse wurden in fünf Szenarien in spekulative Objekte übersetzt, um sie gesellschaftlich zugänglich zu machen.

Das Hungry for Science Symposium präsentiert das Ergebnis dieser Zusammenarbeit und gibt Einblicke hinter die Kulissen des Projektes. Dazu laden wir unsere Expert*innen dazu ein, ihre Forschung hinter den Szenarien zu präsentieren.

Lynn Harles

Research Associate

Lynn Harles is a research associate in the Design-based Strategy Development team at the Fraunhofer Center for Responsible Research and Innovation. In her projects and in her PhD at the BU Weimar, she focuses on the interdisciplinary field of tension between science and design with regard to socio-ecological challenges, especially in the context of biological transformation.

Marie Heidingsfelder

Head of Department “Design-based Strategies”

Dr. Marie Lena Heidingsfelder is head of the Design-based Strategy Development team at the Fraunhofer Center for Responsible Research and Innovation. Her projects focus on the development of new formats for participatory research and innovation processes. As a media and communication scientist, she studied in Weimar, Lyon and Berlin and earned her doctorate in design fiction and science communication at the University of the Arts.
