COLLAB – A Game That Fosters Interdisciplinary Collaboration

Spread the Nerd – Agentur für Wissenschaftskommunikation & Formatentwicklung | Johanna Barnbeck,

Do you know how format development in science communication and prototype testing works? Join this session to play the prototype of "COLLAB – A Game That Fosters Interdisciplinary Collaboration", which is currently still being developed. Be the first one to play and give valuable feedback to the developers.

Interdisciplinary research projects allow us to create new connections and to address topics in different ways than i.e. disciplinary or multidisciplinary studies. Nonetheless, interdisciplinary collaboration is also time consuming and difficult and makes successful communication between researchers and institutions crucial. Therefore, self-reflection becomes a valuable tool that can improve communication and enhance and foster interdisciplinary collaboration.

We developed “COLLAB – A Game That Fosters Interdisciplinary Collaboration” which allows interdisciplinary groups to reflect, discuss and analyse their different approaches and knowledge cultures in a playful way.

In this session we show the format development and prototype testing so far and talk about other ways in which games can be used as communication tools in research settings. After the presentation, participants will be given the opportunity to download and play the game themselves – wherever they are.

This is a digital event. If you would like to attend please book your spot by 2 November at hello@spreadthenerd.net.
