Der Workshop diskutiert mögliche Konzeptionen und Nachhaltigkeitsbeiträge alternativer Ökonomieansätze mit besonderem Fokus auf die sozial-ökologische Entwicklung Berlins.

Berlin hat eine lange und vielfältige Tradition alternativer Wirtschaftspraktiken, die bis heute sehr präsent ist – von der genossenschaftlichen Selbsthilfe über die soziale und solidarische Ökonomie bis zu neuen Modellen des Sozialunternehmertums. Konzepte und Ansätze einer „alternativen Ökonomie“ sind äußerst vielfältig. In der Praxis florieren alternative Wirtschaftsweisen häufig im Kontext bürgerschaftlichen Engagements und sind somit stark in der Zivilgesellschaft verwurzelt. Ihnen wird oft ein hohes transformatives Potenzial mit Blick auf eine nachhaltige Entwicklung unterstellt. Was zeichnet alternatives Wirtschaften aus? Welche besonderen Beiträge können Ansätze der alternativen Ökonomie für eine soziale und ökologische Entwicklung von Berlin leisten? Der Workshop diskutiert diese Fragen aus den Perspektiven von Wissenschaft und Praxis. Die Veranstaltung ist Teil der Reihe „Forschen für den Wandel: Sozial-ökologische Perspektiven für Berlin“ des transdisziplinären Forschungsverbunds Ecornet Berlin.

Dr. Christian Lautermann is Head of the research field “Corporate Management and Consumption” at the Institute for Ecological Economy Research. His research interests comprise Sustainability Man-agement, Social/Sustainable Entrepreneurship, Social Responsibility of Business, and Alternative Economies.

Sabrina Schmidt

Institut für ökologische Wirtschaftsforschung

Researcher

Sabrina Schmidt is a researcher in the research field “Ecological Product Policy” at the Institute for Ecological Economy Research. Her research interests comprise sustainable corporate structures and processes, diffusion of sustainable innovations as well as sustainable business models and gender justice of alternative economic activity.

Marleen Thürling

Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin

Research assistant at the Department of Economics of Rural Cooperatives

Marleen Thürling is a research assistant at the Department of Economics of Rural Cooperatives at the Humboldt University of Berlin. She is a PhD student in the research project “Cooperatives – New Perspectives at the Interface between Civic Engagement and Social Entrepreneurship” funded by the Herbert Quandt Foundation.
