Anna Sjöström Douagi

Anna Sjöström Douagi is Vice President for Science and Programs at the Nobel Prize Museum in Stockholm, where she is in charge of developing and arranging the Nobel Prize public and scientific programs.

In 2011, Sjöström Douagi was appointed by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences to start up the The Young Academy of Sweden, an interdisciplinary, independent platform providing excellent young researchers a voice in the science policy debate and promoting science.

In 2013 she co-funded the foundation for the Young Academy of Sweden and became their CEO. During her employment as an Advisor of International Affairs at the Swedish Research Council she gained experience in international research collaborations and international science policy through her work in managing the secretariat of the European Heads of Research Councils (EuroHORCs), which also led to engagement in the establishment of the European Research Council and several international networks.

Sjöström Douagi holds a PhD in the field of Immunology from the Karolinska Institutet.
