At the first Falling Walls Engage Hub Kenya, we explore the science engagement landscape in Nairobi with a group of science engagers from Africa and across the globe.
The event takes place on 8–11 March 2020 in Nairobi, Kenya.
Science engagement is understood and practised very differently in each region. We take a closer look at the Kenyan/African perspective and bring our global conversation to Nairobi.
Kenya is a leader in African innovation with a strong research sector and fast-growing tech sector. Science and innovation are at the heart of Kenya’s development strategy. Increased investment in science and research aims to accelerate economic growth and address challenges facing communities.
The Next Einstein Forum (NEF) is a platform that connects science, society and policy in Africa and the rest of the world. It aims to make Africa a global hub for science and technology. The NEF Global Gatherings are events with a diverse audience that position science at the centre of global development.
