What This Organisation Can Offer
Generation Next aims to drive scientific literacy, strengthen science education and increase student performance in sciences in Greece, a need confirmed by national PISA results. Under a project-based learning approach, it encourages students to work in teams to identify and solve real issues in their society and urges them to think of innovative solutions with the help of technology. On the other hand, educators are offered comprehensive training and gain tools, knowledge and confidence to implement the STEM methodology, whilst developing problem-solving skills they can further convey to students.
What This Organisation Is Looking for
The programme invites young students and educators across geographical areas to engage with the STEM methodology, build knowledge and skills through digital tools (Arduino, coding, App Inventor, etc), collaborate, identify issues in their communities and develop their own ideas to solve them through real-life, hands-on projects.
Project Lead
Ifigeneia is a Geographer with a master’s in Population, Development and Strategic Perspectives”. She has also been trained in Data Analysis and Visualization, as well as Storytelling. She has a vast experience in education project management & customer service management. In October 2019 she joined SciCo as Senior Project Leader in STEM programmes.
