Sebastian Turner, the publisher (Herausgeber) of Germany’s leading capital quality daily, the Tagesspiegel, and a political scientist by training (Duke). Since the 1980s he has cofounded several companies, like Germany’s leading trade journal for journalists, Medium, the first independent communication agency in East Germany (which became as a part of the group Scholz & Friends Europe’s largest independent agency), the internet holding Econa, and the web service company Aperto. He is also involved in several non-profit initiatives like the Max-Planck-Foundation, the Art Directors Club, the Berlin School of Creative Leadership, and a “science for children” project, Haus der kleinen Forscher. He initiated the Falling Walls Conference in 2009 and established the Falling Walls Foundation in 2010.
