Every weekend two registered members are selected to engage each other in Africa’s first ever virtual quiz tagged “SCIENCE BATTLE OF BRAINS ” in a face to face encounter on zoom video conferencing application (temporarily due to Covid 19 lockdown).Other members from all across Africa also connect from their homes to serve as audiences while the quiz host dishes out senior secondary school level science quiz questions selected from different topics in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.

Edwin Obaje is a science educator, founder and president of ScienceSquad Africa, a growing science education club for young people based in Abuja, Nigeria. It has also members from Ghana. In recognition and appreciation of Edwins volunteer efforts to raise awareness on social media about the importance of supporting STEM education, scientific literacy, and science-based policies around the world, he was the New York Academy of Science Ambassador March 2020. Edwin majored in Biochemistry from Bowen University.
