More precisely, Linium brings a sustainable solution for a class of chemicals called 'aromatics', circa 40% of all chemicals used in the world. As they are currently derived from oil, their carbon footprint will amount to 3% of global GHG by 2050 if nothing is done. Lignin is the only natural and abundant source of aromatics but no technology is currently available to transform it.
