María Pin-Nó

María Pin Nó is from Granollers (Barcelona). She holds a BSc in Chemistry, an MSc in Supramolecular Chemistry and a PhD in Organic Chemistry. Currently, she is working at Roka Furadada developing new bio-based UV absorbers for sunscreen formulations. She started participating in the organisation of Science Engagement activities of the society of Spanish Researchers in the United Kingdom (SRUK/CERU) in 2017. That same year, she co-founded, within the society, Science-me a Story/Ciencia-me un Cuento, the worldwide contest of scientific stories. The initiative closed its fifth edition in 2022 and it currently has satellite activities to use the awarded stories of the contest to teach Science to primary school children through storytelling. María presented Science-me a Story at Falling Walls Engage 2019.
