Dr. Bettina Müller

Dr. Bettina Müller joined ETH Zurich in 2016 as a doctoral student in experimental continuum mechanics. Her research focused on the development of non-invasive mechanical characterization techniques for human skin. This resulted in the development of the NIMBLE, a novel ultra-light suction device for improved objective skin characterization. In 2021, she received the Pioneer Fellowship from ETH supporting her entrepreneurial education. This funding allows her to translate her research into a spin-off company with the mission of improving skin diagnostics through mechanical engineering.
