Anton Henssen

Cancer Biologist, Pediatric Oncology Fellow and Conceptual Artist Dr. Med. Anton Henssen studies rare childhood tumors at the MDC, practices as a pediatrician and is also a conceptual artist and painter. He studied medicine in Düsseldorf and Paris, obtained his PhD in neuroscience in Jülich and Aachen, and did a postdoc at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Since 2018, he heads a research group at the ECRC of the MDC and the Charité Berlin and regularly exhibits his art, most recently in a solo exhibition at the Alte Münze in Berlin-Mitte.
