Katrin Amunts

Professor Dr. Katrin Amunts is director of the Institute of Neuroscience and Medicine at Forschungszentrum Jülich and C. & O. Vogt Institute for Brain Research at Heinrich-Heine University Düsseldorf. To better understand why the human brain is so uniquely powerful, she and her team create ultra high-resolution digital brain atlases in 3D. As Research Director of the Human Brain Project, she also oversees a massive European collaboration of over 100 institutions to build “EBRAINS”, a shared research infrastructure for neuroscience and neural technologies.
