Marc Schiltz

Marc Schiltz has been active in research and higher education for more than 25 years and held University research and faculty positions in several European countries. He received a PhD in Crystallography from the University of Paris-Sud and an Executive MBA from INSEAD. He is leading the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR). Since 2017, he is also president of Science Europe, the Brussels-based association of all major European public research funding and research performing organisations. He has been setting the European agenda to foster Open Science, and was one of the co-initiators of CoARA, the Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment. He is a relentless advocate for science.
