Dr. Liang Jie Wong received his PhD and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and his BS degree in the same field from the University of California, Berkeley. He was a National Science Scholar and a postdoctoral fellow in the mathematics department at MIT. Currently, he is a Nanyang Assistant Professor in the School of EEE at Nanyang Technological University. His research focuses on X-ray photonics and free electron-driven quantum science. He serves as an Elected Member of the School Board, Assistant Director of the CN Yang Scholars Programme, Associate Editor of Optics Express, and Technical Committee Member of CLEO USA.
